The Utsav
Not a conference. A welcome.
GCC Bharat Utsav is India’s national gathering for Global Capability Centres. For three days, the companies that run centres here, the companies deciding whether to, and the states and people who make them work share one floor.
- When
- Early 2027Not decided yet.
- Where
- Hyderabad, IndiaOur working plan. It may change.
- Format
- Three days, eight pavilions
- Entry
- By invitation
Four things happen here that happen nowhere else.
Eight states stand on one floor
Andhra Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Telangana present themselves side by side, as one India. You can compare policy, cities and talent in an afternoon, with the people who administer them.
Companies new to India are guided
The GCC Explorer Pass pairs a company that has no centre in India with a Navigator matched to its brief, from the first call to the flight home.
The leaders are in the room
The Founding Leaders Circle gathers people who have built centres before, so a company deciding on India can also meet the kind of person who would run its centre.
India is on the programme
Food from eight kitchens, craft, music and dress are part of the three days, because a decision about a country should involve the country.
A different shape of event.
A typical event is over when the hall empties. This one sits in the middle of something longer: an evaluation that began weeks before, a conversation between a state and a company that carries on after, and a gathering that returns every year.
| A typical GCC event | GCC Bharat Utsav |
|---|---|
| Panel, keynote, networking, dinner, goodbye | Experience, discover, connect, explore, celebrate, decide |
| One city’s or one state’s pitch | Eight pavilions telling one India story |
| For companies already here | Also for companies that have not arrived yet, and for their headquarters |
| Ends when the lights go off | Carries on through a Navigator, extended visits and next year’s edition |

These are the groups being invited. A name appears on this site only when that person has confirmed.
What it is not.
It is not a state investment summit, a technology exhibition, a job fair, or a cultural festival with a business track attached. It takes one thing from each: access to government, technology you can see working, senior people in the room, and real hospitality. It leaves the rest.
Year one
The first edition of something India will do every year.
GCC Bharat Utsav is planned as an annual platform: the place where India welcomes the global GCC community, and where headquarters, Indian centres, states, talent, technology and investment meet once a year. The long aim is to make India the world’s most preferred destination for global capability.
