About
Someone had to send the invitation.
India has the centres, the states have the policies, and the world has the interest. What was missing was an occasion that brought them into one room as one country. GCC Bharat Utsav is that occasion, and GCC India is its host.
The idea.
GCC Bharat Utsav began with a simple observation. Global companies learn about India from reports and from single-state events. Indian states make their case one at a time. Leaders of India’s centres meet each other often and their own headquarters rarely. Nobody had put all of them under one roof and added the thing India does better than anywhere: a welcome.
The name says what it is. Bharat is India’s name for itself. Utsav means celebration. GCC stands for Global Capability Centre.
What we hold to.
- India first
- States are presented together, in alphabetical order, and never ranked
- Straight talk
- Every fact carries a status or a source. Nobody is named before they confirm
- Real hospitality
- Guests are hosted, not processed. Culture is on the programme, not beside it
- Discretion
- Leaders Circle conversations are private, and they stay private
- A long view
- This is the first edition of an annual gathering
The organisers.
GCC India is an ecosystem builder for Global Capability Centres. GCC Story covers the sector’s news and articles. GCC Alumni unites the GCC workforce. We are also a leader in GCC events and podcasts. GCC Bharat Utsav is where that ecosystem meets in one place.
- Advisory council
- To be announced.
- Partners
- Partners will be named here, by role, when agreements are signed.
Year one
The first edition of something India will do every year.
We intend GCC Bharat Utsav to become the place where India welcomes the global GCC community each year: a meeting point for global headquarters, Indian centres, states, government, talent, technology, investment, innovation and culture. The long aim is to make India the world’s most preferred destination for Global Capability Centres.
