The basics

What is GCC Bharat Utsav?

GCC Bharat Utsav is India’s national gathering for Global Capability Centres. Over three days it brings together the companies that run centres in India, companies considering their first, eight state pavilions, and the leaders, partners and talent that make centres work.

What does GCC mean here?

Global Capability Centre, also written Global Capability Center: the technology, engineering, finance or operations hub that a global company owns and runs in another country. It does not refer to the Gulf Cooperation Council.

What do Bharat and Utsav mean?

Bharat is India’s name for itself. Utsav means celebration or festival.

When and where is it?

It is planned for early 2027, in February or March, in Hyderabad, India. The exact dates and the venue will be announced together. The What is confirmed page shows the current status.

How is it different from other GCC events?

In three ways. Eight states present themselves together, as one India. Companies new to India can come on a GCC Explorer Pass, with a Navigator who guides them from the first call to a decision. And India’s culture is part of the programme.

Who organises it?

GCC India. The About page says more.

Is it a government event?

No. It is organised by GCC India. Government participation is by invitation, and it is shown on the What is confirmed page as it is agreed.

Will it be held every year?

That is the intention. This is the first edition.

Attending

Who can attend?

Entry is by invitation. You can request one as a delegate, a GCC Explorer, a partner, a member of the Founding Leaders Circle, a government representative, a contributor, or a member of the media or a knowledge partner.

How do I request an invitation?

Choose your door on the invitation page and fill in a short form. A person reads every request.

What does it cost?

Pricing has not been announced. It will be published here and on the What is confirmed page when it is.

Can I bring colleagues from our global headquarters?

Yes, and we encourage it. Name them in your delegate request and we will invite them personally.

We provide services to capability centres. Can we attend?

Service providers take part as partners. The Partners page sets out the roles.

The GCC Explorer Pass

What is the GCC Explorer Pass?

A guided way for a company with no centre in India to evaluate the country: a Navigator matched to your brief, a planned three days, arranged meetings with states and leaders, and help extending your visit.

What is a Navigator?

Someone with direct experience of India’s capability centres who is matched to your brief, speaks with you before you travel, accompanies you through the three days and stays in touch afterwards.

Does the pass commit us to setting up in India?

No.

Will you tell us which state to choose?

No. Your Navigator helps you compare regions against your brief. Neither this site nor its organisers rank states.

The pavilions

Which states have pavilions?

Eight pavilions are planned: Andhra Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. State participation is by invitation and is being confirmed.

Why these eight?

These eight were chosen to represent India to the world as the GCC capital of the world. States and union territories beyond these eight are welcome to start a conversation about this edition and the next.

Why are they always in alphabetical order?

Because no state is ranked. The Utsav presents India, and each state is one of its chapters.

The Founding Leaders Circle

What is the Founding Leaders Circle?

A small, private gathering of leaders who have built or scaled capability centres, for companies deciding who will lead theirs.

Is my interest confidential?

Yes. It is seen only by GCC India’s Managing Director, no list of members is published, and we never contact your employer.

Is it a recruitment service?

No. Nobody is interviewed and nobody is asked for a CV. Introductions happen only when both sides wish it.

Partners, speakers and media

How can my organisation become a partner?

Request the partnership deck. Partners hold one of twelve roles, and the benefits and investment for each are in the deck.

Can we pay to speak?

No. Speaking places are not for sale.

How do I propose a speaker or a session?
How do journalists get accreditation?

Travel

Will I need a visa?

Most international visitors need a visa for India. We will send confirmed delegates an invitation letter and publish guidance once the dates are set.

Where should I stay?

Partner hotels will be announced with the venue.
